That Blogarita has gotten me distracted and I've spent more time than I should trying to pick out my favorite albums. My favorites tend to change from day to day and these are in no particular order.

What a fun way to waste time. Give 'er a try, why don't you?

As soon as I posted mine, I realized I'd forgotten Gram Parsons. :(

And Dwight is always a good choice in my book!

We'll just have to do "Part Deux"...there's a ton more I could've put on there.

I couldn't read the small print right off (bein' 40, you know...) but I THOUGHT that looked a lot like Maria McKee.

Imagine my delight to see Lone Justice. Sista, you continue to be my Sensei.

I spent my early 20's looking for "Ways to Be Wicked," but now I'm just huntin' for "Soap, Soup and Salvation."

I don't even remember how I discovered Maria and Lone Justice, but, I can tell you this, I was one of the few in my school to know who they were. THEN, some months after I discovered them, the blessed saint, Dwight Yoakam, appeared.

I STILL listen to Maria McKee. She's older, more mature, but that voice is still there. She's one of the underrated and undertalked about. Natalie Maines has given her some rightful props, though.

Get on one of the downloadable sites and you'll find Soul, Soup & Salvation. I love that one too.
