Julian Lennon got lucky in that Yoko is not his mother. He's actually quite talented and had a couple of Top 40 hits in the 80s.
Sean was hanging around Michael Jackson.
Enough said.
I always felt sorry for the way reviewers treated Julian -- "well, he's good, but he's not John." Who could be? And he is indeed a gifted fellow who sounds (and looks) eerily like his dad.
I tell you who wigs me right out when I see him play, though -- Dhani Harrison. He stands and cocks his head at that funny little angle just like his daddy did. Such a doll. (Have y'all heard Sandra McCracken's "Goodbye George"? WRLT has been playing it, and it'll make you grin and be melancholy at the same time. She's a wordsmith.)
P.S. -- Congrats, Grascals! WOOOOOOT!
